At Radley and Co we take our social and ethical responsibility very seriously.
One of Radley and Co's values is to recognise the commitment of our employees and our suppliers who partner with us. We appreciate their individual contribution towards our company's success and our responsibility towards them.
We want our customers to feel confident that all our goods have been produced under acceptable conditions.
Charity at Radley
Radley and Co are proud to support The Retail Trust charity. Retail Trust is here to help all our employees and their family whenever they need support. They offer a range of services including free counselling, legal advice, debt advice, hardship grants, course funding and retirement housing throughout the UK.
We work closely with the British Heart Foundation, with various promotions in store and fundraising events which include Handbag amnesties and 10k runs by Radley and Co employees.
We also donate 50% of our Radley dog tag proceeds to Kids Co Charity, who provide practical, emotional and educational support to inner-city children and young people.
Engaging with our teams
Our team are encouraged to participate in Radley's employee engagement survey. This is a great way for our teams to get involved with making Radley a great place to work. This year we are also pleased to launch our employee forum.
Equal opportunities
Radley is committed to ensuring equal opportunity of employment for everyone and utilises the provisions detailed in the Equality Act 2010 to ensure that all of our employment decisions, policies and practices are made without regard to an individual's race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, nationality, disability or age. We also strive to ensure that individuals are not discriminated against on the grounds of gender reassignment, pregnancy, maternity or whether they are married or in a civil partnership.
We actively encourage our employees to have a voice without fear of reprisal with our open door policy from our CEO downwards and with our whistle blowing policy.
Our Products
Most of our goods are manufactured in India and China where we maintain strict codes of conduct with our suppliers. We have worked with some of these suppliers from the very beginning and have built respectful and close working relationships with them. Our key suppliers have been, and continue to be, instrumental in our development process and play an integral part in our company's success.
Environment
Radley and Co are committed to reduce, reuse and recycle. With this in mind we have the following in place:
- Monitoring the amount of printing we do as a company
- Reduce the volume of office waste by recycling (i.e. card, paper and plastic)
- Increase the volume of recycled stationery items
- All of our cleaning products are Eco friendly
- We encourage the use of public transport over sole use of cars
Community
We have recently launched our charity committee to ensure both local and national charities benefit from not only donations but also our time.
Bribery and Corruption
The Company takes a zero tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. All our employees are trained and comply with our anti-corruption and bribery policy. In addition to this, we are also committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate and implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery.
